92Y+K.P. = A Great Street Festival!

There’s nothing like a good summer street festival, and 92nd Street Y, with assistance from K.P. Events Group usually put on a doozy. For the fourth straight year, K.P. will be providing event solutions for 92Y’s annual street festival on Sunday, September 14 in New York City.

92nd Street Y is a 140-year-old world-class nonprofit cultural and community center where people all over the world connect through culture, arts, entertainment and conversation. 92Y is committed to enthusiastically welcoming and reaching out to people of all ages, races, faiths and backgrounds. Each year they stage a 20-block festival in the middle of Manhattan. The festival features a multitude of activities for folks of all ages and interests. From kid-friendly activities and entertainment to international cultural showcases, from community services information booths to live music, film, sports, games and food, the 92Y street festival is always a fan favorite and highly enthralling.

Taking up 20 blocks of city space is no small task, but this festival is more than up for it. Reaching from 76th to 96th Streets on Lexington Avenue, the 23-year-old festival is one of the largest of its kind usually boasting crowds of more than 50,000. This year’s festival promises to, again, be a great time with an agenda that is chock full of exciting features. Musical performances from the Broadway cast of Pippin and Cinderella highlight the entertainment for the afternoon. Additionally, for the kids, there will be performances by all-child actors from the shows Once, Evita and Les Misérables.

Fresh off a very busy summer, K.P. Events Group will be providing multiple audio/visual facets for this expansive event. We will be providing staging and audio for the main stage and also the kid’s stage. Additionally, K.P. will provide audio services for more than 30 performers in smaller venues throughout the many blocks of festival.

92Y brings together people and ideas from around the world to achieve greater understanding and to make a positive impact on people’s lives in both local and global communities.
